Tinashe

This week Heilala, Anavea, Matali Henare and I made a shared doc and wrote a report on Tinashe. We had a paragraph each and found out that she doesn't like, CANDY and FIZZY! She is the age of 22 years born on February the 6th in 1993 and her full name is Tinashe Jorgenson Kachingwe.

Every Wednesday room 11 goes to Tamaki College to make food or make a project made out of wood.I made a helicopter that looks like this...

the teacher that showed us was a guy named Mr Grundy. He showed us how and where to put Joints and how to glue it together if it broke and mine broke but I don’t have the right glue to put it together again.

Myron Simpson

Yester we walked up to the multipurpose room at 9:30am for a Duffy assembly. There we met a man named Myron Simpson and he told us about his achievements in his life and how he got to make his own muesli company. Myron Simpson started riding bikes when he was 3 and started racing for NZ when he was 8. Myron was also awarded a silver medal in the 2007 world champs in Mexico.

 Jill McDonald

Jill McDonald was an illustrator in the no.1 kids books. She joined up with Margaret Mahy and they wrote a book called Lion In The Meadow. Jill was so interested in drawing she could draw Captain Cook and she liked to draw school children and astronauts but her favourite subject was animals. A lot of her drawing was put in a trunk and sent to Glen, who had returned to NZ a few years earlier. Jill graduated from Rhode Island School of Design in 1998 with a degree in textile design. Jill McDonald died in 1982.
